Pengenalan kepada pembelajaran dalam talian dan kendiri yang dipelopori OUM juga merupakan salah satu faktor secara langsung memberi peluang kedua kepada golongan bekerjaya untuk mendapat pendidikan tinggi yang berkualiti.

A PhD is probably one of the most difficult academic endeavours to accomplish but the rewards are amazing.

Being the only student taking the programme, I did not have peers to debate on linguistic matters but that did not dampen my spirit. Having supportive tutors helped because they were the ones who motivated and encourages me to move on.

OUM was his choice because the university had a branch near his hometown and it provided facilities for the disabled which allowed him to move about conveniently. The staff at OUM were cheerful and helpful, and Mohd Shamsul found it a pure joy to pursue his master's at OUM. His future plans include going back into market in a role which accomodates his physical condition.

Although I had been offered to do my PhD full time at one of the public universities, I decided on OUM because I believe in its mission of democratising education. To me, learning is like buying a shirt as no size fits all.

When my children were growing up, they had this habit of asking me to wait while, I thought to myself:"Why don't I enrol myself in a bachelor's degree programme instead of wasting my time reading magazines?"

As an open and distance learning institution, OUM leverages on technology to provide accessible, affordable, flexible and yet quality education.

I found this aspects of my study most enriching and valuable because through my interactions with peers, I was able to learn from their experiences
