al-Irsyad: Journal of Islamic and Contemporary Issues (IJICI) (e-ISSN 2550-1992) is an open access, double-blind peer-reviewed international scholarly journal published biannually by Fakulti Pengajian Peradaban Islam (FPPI) Press, Malaysia. The IJICI is dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Islam and of the Islamic world. Particular attention is paid to works dealing with Islamic theology, philosophy, sociology, jurisprudence, contemporary studies, comparative religion, spirituality, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, history, political science, economics, anthropology, literature, international relations, environmental and developmental issues, as well as ethical questions related to scientific research. The IJICI is committed to the publication of original research on Islam as culture and civilisation. It particularly welcomes work of an interdisciplinary nature that brings together history, religion, politics, culture and law. The IJICI has a special focus on Islam, and on contemporary Islamic issues. Contributions that display theoretical rigour especially work that link the particularities of Islamic discourse in the enterprise of knowledge and critique in the humanities and social sciences, will find IJICI to be receptive to such submissions. All the articles submitted must be either in Arabic, English or Malay.

This Malaysian edition of Al-Hikmah is published by the Department of Da’wah and Leadership Studies, Faculty of Islamic Studies, National University of Malaysia (University Kebangsaan Malaysia UKM) in collaboration with Islamic National University of Imam Bonjol, Padang, Indonesia. This journal is published annually in Malay, English and Arabic. The published articles as well as comments, research reports, book reviews, conference papers and others are in Islamic da'wah studies as well as in other fields written from Islamic perspectives. All opinions given in the articles are not necessarily representing the Editorial Board and the department.

Articles in Al-Hikmah are indexed and abstracted in Malaysian Citation Index System (MyCite), Journal Management System (MyJurnal) and UKM Journal Article Repository (UJAR).

The Malaysian Journal of Nursing (MJN) is Malaysia’s leading and only broadcasting journal catering to a large readership. The journal is published by Lincoln University College, Asia Pacific Higher Learning Sdn Bhd. The MJN is a fully refereed periodical for significant professionals who are dedicated in discovering, understanding and distributing nursing knowledge with a sound scientific, theoretical or philosophical base. The journal seeks to advance the quality of research by publishing original work about health care delivery, organisation, management, workforce, policy and research methods relevant to nursing, midwifery and other health related professions. MJN recommends an international intervention that seeks to improve reliability and value of research literature in health care. The journal purpose is to illuminate the knowledge base of nursing and improve patient safety by evolving and circulating core concepts of nursing practice, representing them within nursing diagnoses and standardized nursing languages, and promoting their clinical use. MJN accepts papers which contribute significantly to international nursing knowledge including concept analyses, original research, review articles, historical perspectives, clinical cases and challenges, and education, informatics and policy initiatives that advances the international understanding and development of nursing both as a profession and academic discipline. The mission of MJN is to promote excellence in nursing, for the wellbeing of the health care community and the public. It is a open access, double-blind peer reviewed quarterly journal published in January, April, July and October.
