Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine the impact of OUM's SMK programme (Bachelor of Teachership) by investigating the perceptions of the : a. SMK beginning teachers on their teaching efficacy and competencies b. Principals/heads of schools on the SMK beginning teachers performance as compared to the competencies/skills perceived as important.
