It is currently in its fourth year of operation with 25,000 students enrolled in the university?s 17 programs. OUM is a private university established by a consortium of eleven public universities, thus making it unique, especially in the way it is managed and funded. Unlike its stakeholders, OUM is also an open and distance learning (ODL) institution ? the first and the only one in Malaysia to date. (Abstract by author)} }
